From Daylight Robbery in 1999 to British Airways’ onboard ale, Tribute has come a long way.

1999

Tribute starts life as Daylight Robbery, a seasonal beer brewed to celebrate the total eclipse in August 1999.

2001

Daylight Robbery becomes a permanent fixture under its new name,Tribute – in honour of those who had helped the Brewery grow to its landmark 150th anniversary.

2002

The 1,000,000th pint of Tribute is brewed.

2004

Tribute is voted Champion Beer of Cornwall at Cornwall CAMRA beer festival, Falmouth.

2005

Tribute bottles go nationwide in supermarkets.

2005

‘Cornish Born and Brewed’ campaign is launched.

2006

Tribute becomes the official beer of the Cornish Pilot Gig Association to coincide with Head Brewer Roger Ryman’s 40th birthday ‘Row around Cornwall’.

2007

Tribute is voted Supreme Champion at the SIBA South West Beer Festival.

2008

Tribute becomes the South West’s official Rugby Football Union sponsor, supporting the sport in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset at grass roots level. The ‘You’ve Earned It’ campaign launches to tie in with the Cornwall RFU sponsorship.

2010

The new Tribute cans become available in supermarkets.

2012

Named the Official Beer of Plymouth Argyle.

2013

Named Best drink at the Food Reader Awards.

2013

Title sponsor of Somerset County Cricket Club and collar sponsor of Gloucester County Cricket Club.

2013

Tribute becomes the main sponsor of Cornwall County Rugby team.

2013

New Tribute branding introducing the ‘Cornish Pale Ale’ line.

2014

Declared Regional Cask Ale of the Year for the third time in a row at the Publicans’ Choice Awards.

2014

Tribute partners with Canine Partner, sponsoring ‘Tribute the puppy’ in his training programme to assist someone living with disability.

2015

Tribute takes to the streets of London emblazoned across a fleet of London taxis.

2015

Tribute becomes the main sponsor of Bristol Balloon Fiesta.

2016

Tribute’s 330ml cans go global following a major deal with BA to become the national airline’s on-board ale.

2016

The Tribute balloon takes to the skies offering a more serene way to traverse Westcountry skies.

Tribute sponsors Cornwall County Cricket.
